A sometimes philosophical, sometimes introspective, look at White Elephants – items which generally lack taste and are given as gifts – their consumption and their role in society. They are also called “White Elephant”, “Pollyanna”, or “Dirty Santa” gifts. What are they? Usually kitschy, to downright terrible.
